It can be quite discouraging when an opportunity opens up that feels great and looks promising only to fall apart shortly thereafter on closer inspection. Some days I just want to nail an opportunity when it presents itself - acting without hesitation and finding in hindsight that it was a good move. But I argue sometimes it's good that things don't turn out as initially expected, even if it feels like a loss at the time.

It's essential we as humans are not led by FOMO and fear in general. Acting without a plan or any sort of rationale in our minds can turn out to be quite the step backwards.

So what to do if promising options don't materialize and turn out to be a house of cards?

I feel more and more that these hindrances and obstructions on my path are actually blessings in disguise. You could see it as a cosmic hint to guide you into another direction once your ego is already completely involved and carried away by the mind construct in your perception.

I find that moments later, after backing off an opportunity - new opportunities are manifesting. New doors open up and pathways become discernible that were totally obscure and unthinkable mere moments ago.

The art is in not letting that perceived loss of opportunity get to our heads but rather: To embrace it and clear the mind of all the now antiquated evaluations.

Suddenly we can find the benefits of not having taken the option under pressure that looked great mere moments ago. Suddenly we stumble upon crucial factors we may have overlooked in the heat of the moment, options we would have waived when opting for the initial plan.

And those options might turn out to be far more valuable and beneficial for what it is we actually want to achieve.

I am not saying "don't act" when an opportunity presents itself. I am all for decisive action in accordance of the mind and our finer perceptions. But when you realize that a ship has sailed, try to calm down and don't take it too harshly, don't beat yourself up. Instead look at what is happening next and listen to the finer hints life will throw into your path in the next moments that your mind has some free capacity for new input.

The signs are everywhere and sometimes I feel we can really use a cosmic intervention of sorts reminding us to keep checking our fundamental assumptions in the heat of the moment.

There is great value in turning it all around on the spot as we recognize the energetic winds so to speak, and turn the development (first perceived to be a hindrance) into a step forward into the right direction.

Hence I am writing about it today to let you all know that I see a pattern here that turns out to be of greater and greater relevance and importance on my path, enabling me to bounce back into an even greater thrust forward <3
