This is what they call para-gliding and they fly in the thermals created by high mountain ridges.
Two different forms of air transport appeared to me at the same time.
So all that I had to do was to switch from one to the other whilst controlling the camera zoom.
At the same time this small plane appeared from the other side and I feared that the two might meet in the air.
The guy with the glider came closer overhead and I could even read the brandname on the kite.
Thankfully the were at different heights, as the plane was lower than the glider.
So the guy with the glider was on his way towards the ocean.
And the plane was on his way to fly over the mountains.
This is the last feint sight of the glider.
Can you believe how lucky I was to see both, as I was standing in the middle of our small garden at home.
One thing about me is that my eyes are forever focussed on the sky and this habit has created many unusual shots for me.
Even when we are driving, I always watch the skies ahead on the journey and in an instant I can stop to get something in the sky.
Just a crazy habit I guess.
