We waited on this hill for the moon last night!
This photo is also for #treetuesday hosted by @tattoodjay
This is "Part 2" of the moon posts. I posted the first one this morning only because I filmed the first one today during the early morning hours.
This post here was taken last night and I hope that you are going to enjoy the pictures.
Let's watch the moon!
She ever so slowly crept up behind the tree!
Boom! And here she is in her full glory!
I saw this string of planets close to the moon and it might be Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and some others in the line.
We were told that the sky last night would be the clearest in South Africa, for the year.
Maybe an astronomer on steemit can tell us what these are?
Later in the night, around 10pm, the moon took on a bright silvery sheen!
That's it from me about this month's full moon and we hope that everyone has enjoyed the journey.
As you can see, since I got this camera, a Canon Powershot SX60HD, I have been getting better photos with it's super zoom.
The camera also has Wi-Fi and other gimmicks on board, but I still have to figure them out.
For now, all that I am happy with is that I can get clearer distant shots and this means the world to me. The dream is always to get something that can take clear shots of the closest planets, but it remains an empty dream as those cameras and lenses are priced miles beyond my pocket.
