The peace and quiet was disturbed by the sound of loud and anxious bird screams and the flapping of big wings. So I jumped up from our coffee table to go and see what was going on.
Now I am not going to give it away, as the pictures will tell you the story.
They say that a smile, lights up one's face and the moment relieves all of life's stresses. That's one reason why I love to smile. The other reason is that humor has always gotten me through the hard times in life.
So, in here I have hopefully assembled some reasons for the readers to smile, and that will make my day.
Read on and enjoy.
What I can tell you is that there was suddenly a big dog on the ground under the tree and he caused a big ruckus.
Do you see in this closer shot what was inside the tree?
No? Let me give it away, as it was a couple of peacocks.
They were scratching in the ground under the tree and the sudden appearance of the dog scared their lights out, and so with loud screams they flew straight up into the tree.
The female was fearfully peeping down at the dog. She was hoping that the dog wouldn't climb up into the tree :)
The male bristled his feathers and he said; Go away dog, as if I have to climb down here, I will make you broken :)
He wanted to act like a hero in front of the female, but in the meantime his fearful scream was louder than hers when they first saw the dog.
Birds certainly lead an interesting life, if one cares to really listen to them.
Gabriel, a Cape weaver, sat in the sun relaxing and thinking about the good old bachelor days.
Until his wife arrived, and you can see in her face that she was not impressed. Gabriel, she whispered angrily, if you don't get back to your nest building, I will up and leave you. I've had enough and I will raise the children by myself.
Poor Gabriel had already built the framework for the new nest.
And I say poor, because you can see the two other nests that he built, but his wife rejected them. It's a dog's life for poor Gabriel, as she will most likely reject the new nest as well.
But then there are also clever male birds.
They let the females do all of the nest building work.
Margaret, the female Cape Sparrow was carting all of the nesting material, while Jim, her husband was playing golf.
Some guys can be very inventive to escape hard work :)
So what can I say? Birds certainly lead an interesting life, and they face daily issues very similar to our own. The good thing that it teaches us, is that when we face any danger, the best thing is to "fly" away immediately. Yes, we can also scream when we "fly" away :)
Then the other lesson that I learned here was in order to keep the peace at home, it's best to always help the female with the work. It can avoid many arguments and we all want peace at home.
Just my way of looking at things.
