We had to take our car in for a service, so come with for a ride.
A little Jack Russel dog helped to control the goats in the main road. Amazingly, the dog was the exact same color as the goats.
A friend owns a service station, and he did us a favor by servicing our car on short notice. Some of you know the feeling when you start your car, and a ping sound rings out. When you look at the instrument panel, a tool symbol appears and the lettering "Inspec" is displayed. Totally unexpected, as when we bought the used car it had 30 000 km on the clock. We were under the impression that the car was serviced, and now the service notice jumped up totally unexpectedly. I will share some photos of some sights along the way.
This below was the full picture with the goats at the back.
Cattle walked around like residents in the town.
We were told that the cattle and the goats go out of the village every morning to a new feeding spot, so this is a regular occurrence, and I wonder what the tourists think when they drive along this road. And old steam train also passes through the area on its way to the apple farms, and that will also amaze some tourists when they see this from the train.
And finally, we were at our destination. The Merino sheep looked in fine fettle.
Now some landscape shots on the way back home.
Near our home now, and the roadshow was over.
Amazing what one can see here on a short drive into the countryside. We have had much rain this winter, and by grace all our dams are full. Spring season will be here soon, and all our dams are full. The soil is saturated with water, so when the hot sun returns there will be a kaleidoscope of colors in nature all over. But until then, we still have a month to go, as our spring season starts officially on the first of September. The weatherman reckons that we will be in for more rain this week and next week.
Such is life.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
