One continues to learn new shooting styles day by day in nature, but for timing and speed clicking dragonflies offer the best training.
Hahaha, I will not show you any of my attempts when I started out, as they were all flops, but perseverance always carries the can.

This one is an "African Piedspot"
This is dragonfly royalty, the "Blue Emperor"!
This is a flying "Broad Scarlet"!
This one looks like the "Elusive Skimmer"!
Here we have the "Nomad Red"
Finally the large rare Pink and I hear that they are called "Violet Dropwings" This one is a male, as the females are all gold in color.
The reason why I mention shooting dragonflies in training, is that it encompasses many techniques and once they are mastered, it becomes so much easier to shoot the fast bigger animals and birds.
Discipline, perseverance, bushcraft and stillness are all some of techniques, including of course quick action on demand that are required.
My motto is simply; "blend into nature and nature will blend into you" (Own words). There's no hurry or anxiety, just a stillness of soul and open eyes and ears. Love mother nature and she will return your love by revealing her beauties to you. So sad that many of us go through life with nary a thought about nature and her free beauty.
