...as they have experienced so many events since their lava beginning.
Colored in gold by a late sunset and turning into a fiery red afterwards. I also had a look at the South that you will see at the end of the post.
The mountains lie due East, and that's also where the sun and the moon rise. It is said that the mountains are millennia years old, and you can imagine how many stories they hide, as you can see the battle scars on their faces against the elements over the centuries. And still, ever so proudly they stand to give us so many lessons about endurance.
As humans, we are also very frail, and the major lesson that the mountains teach is that we have to show our beauty, and our light every day of our short journeys on this planet. At times our battles in this life are very hard to bear, but then again, they soon dissolve to become our personal histories. Just like the mountains, we all have an inner strength, and by using it we become the same as the mountains.
Three sea gulls flew across the mountain face on their way home and it was difficult to get them on camera due to the distance. They also fly so fast that by the time that I could extend to full zoom on the camera, they will already be home sitting and watching their favorite programs on the Oceanic Seaboard Television service :) (2 shots).
Finally, things started to grow dark in the east.
Now don't go away, as you will see some views in the south at the same time.
Oh yes, like I said above, at the same time I also took some shots of the views at the south, and although you can see that it was still lighter in the sky, the clouds that arrived from the east had started to fade in color. I was happy to get that flock of sea gulls coming over, and they were obviously headed home for the night.
Watch what happened to the clouds that were behind the palm tree (3 shots below).
And that was it, as soon the light in the south also started to turn into dusk, and it was time for us to go home.
Let me tell you that I will never tire of the views on the mountain range, as there are constant changes, and I only wish that we lived in a place that had a full view of the entire mountain range. But that is not to be, as the higher areas that have the views are all occupied by the mansions of the well-off persons, and we can only go up there to take shots of the mountains.
We don't go up there anymore, and I have no intention to buy a mansion up there, as I will never have the funds to pay for it. But as you know me, we are happy to stay where we are, and for us, life just goes on in acceptance of all that happens in our lives. At least I can still drive to other high spots for photos of nature, and as you see I can still get some good shots.
Such is life.
I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
