From the big Pied Crows to the small Wagtails, all the birds are now frantically building nests.
Interestingly they have to birth their young as soon as possible in order for the young to build up strength during summer and autumn, as this will allow the young to survive during the following winter season.
All of the new-born that will survive the patrolling predators of course, as the predators have to also feed their own young to gain strength for the winter season.
The Spring season officially starts in South Africa on the 1st day of September.

Here I will show you some more beautiful early Spring signs!
Insects galore on this little flower as the ants seek the sweetness and the little guy at left wants the pollen.
Here we have a kind of a flying ant on a wild clover flower!
A white Papillon (butterfly) on a red Bottle-brush seed pod!
A Garden Acrea also on the Bottle-brush tree!
And finally a view of African trees and of course African mountains!
Spring season will soon be upon us, bringing with it new blooms and new life. A most colorful season over here with a host of new born and all other kinds of insects. I look forward to the Citrus Swallowtail butterflies and maybe I will get a rare Charaxes again. I am also waiting to see if I can get a Dwarf Chameleon on camera.
Any case, I am sure many new sightings are going to make an appearance here at our new place and it is certainly something to look forward to.
