A happy Friday to all! Remember this little guy? At it here again on the beach early in the morning!
Very hot over here and so the best time to visit the beach is early in the morning before the real heat starts. 6am is a good time to arrive and latest 9am to depart in a hurry. Before the sun makes it's way to its peak and almost burns one's skin off. Late in the afternoon is also a good time, but then the lighting is not very favorable for photography.
Come and join us on the beach!
This is the early morning view towards the south!
And here's the view towards the north!
During the holiday season one cannot move on these beaches as they are crowded with people, but out of season (my favorite) the beaches are sparsely populated!
And now back here with the little furry friends!
Slacking down now after chasing the other little one all over the place!
Whilst the other little one stays on the go and be assured that he goes on non stop!
His missus tried to get the leash on him here, but he was having none of it!
His little partner was waiting for a ship to bring him a girlfriend hahahaha.
This photo looked to me at least like a painting?
A paddler here sending his bird out with a message?
You can see the bird heading towards the little ship there in the distance! Lol.
Then some lady surfers started to arrive to enjoy the early morning waves!
We have noticed from previous visits here that they also don't stay long in order to avoid the midday heat!
Some more girls getting ready to go and do their thing in the waves!
And great enjoyment can be seen here in the water, but it was time for us to leave!
Finally, one last shot that I took from the seaside facing the beach.
And that's all folks!
The danger of the hot African sun lies in its Ultra Violet (UV) rays and many a visitor that spent a day tanning in the sun on the sand ends up in hospital, or had to receive medical treatment for sunburn. Another danger is a condition that they call heatstroke (sunstroke). It can damage the brain and is especially dangerous for people over 50. Dehydration means that the body dries out in the sun and plenty of fluids have to be taken to avoid this.
Now I know that I am supposed to tell you how wonderful a visit is to our beaches here in Cape Town, South Africa.
But I led with a warning, as we are a people who care and a health warning might result in someone avoiding complications during their visits.
Please take care!
We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures here from my archives, as they were taken on a Saturday morning on the 8th of February 2019. All pictures are my own, unedited and only compressed for uploading purposes.
My camera used is a Canon Powershot Sx60 HS.
