So, what do you do if you have a heap of recycling materials to carry?
The answer is to simply invent your own truck.
Materials.
A supermarket trolley, a long plank, and a plastic house bath.
Method.
Strip the basket off the trolley, lay a long plank over the trolley and fix a bath on the top of the plank.
Voila, and you have your own manpowered limousine.
We have many unemployed people in the country and a few, like this guy, raid the dustbins and the recycling bags that we put out for the council workers to collect. Recycling is their only income, and we put our bags out for them to collect. They get a meagre income from the recycling plant, but like the one guy said to me, it is better to get a few cents than sitting idle at home. So, every Tuesday is the garbage collection day, and the guys pop around just before the garbage trucks arrive.
We gather our recycling materials during the month and every second week, on a Tuesday, we put the bags out for them to collect.
A neighbor across the road does the same. Sorry about the reflections, as it was a rainy day.
Talking about the rain, let's have a look at the squirrels in our garden and some flower shots.
Look how this little wet one was enjoying the avocado.
And this one also selected some avo.
Yeah, they are wet, but they have to eat.
I liked this shot below of a wet Hibiscus flower.
The "Christ thorn" flowers also were a pleasant sight on the eye.

It is cold here now, and winter has announced its arrival with some severe and damaging rain storms. The fierce south easter wind that drives the storm clouds along the coastal towns of the Atlantic Ocean can run in some areas at a speed of 135kmp. Further away toward the coastal towns in the Eastern Cape and KZN provinces, total havoc reigns, as some deaths were announced, and hundreds of people were vacated to safer areas after they lost their houses in the floods.
Over here a contractor has started to widen and clear the river in order to prevent the flooding that occurred last winter and now we can hear the sound of the angry river, loaded with rainwater coming down on its way from the mountains to the ocean. So, let's hope that we don't get some flooding damage again, but the wind is still a major concern.
