...and it was so good to see this after the destructive storms that we had here recently. Thankfully no more storms are forecasted until after the weekend, but the cold temperatures will continue to increase. Sutherland already has a temp of -2C at night, and it's one of the coldest towns in our area. Lesotho our neighboring town was dumped with so much snow that the roads and mountain passes are closed.
Two shots below of the scene upon our arrival at a high spot in order for me to get some clear views of the ocean line on the horizon.
The colors were lovely on the eye and the mind, and my zoom did a great job at the rear side of our famous Table Mountain. Distance about 45 km from where I was standing, and I have posted this mountain before over the years here in my blog on Hive. Views that one can never get tired of, and the great thing about it is that the constant changes by the clouds on the mountain almost every cloudy day, continues to change the views.
Four shots of the sunset on the mountain below.
And then it was time to take the road back home, as I wanted to take some shots on the way, before nightfall started to set in. The dark can set in rapidly, and then the colors will disappear. And so, a slow cruise on the road gave me the time to stop the car every so often and then to take the shots that you see below.
And so, the days go by much faster, and before we know it will be December again. I don't know how you feel about the racing time these days, and there is always so much to do, that one has to cram it in to limited spaces to fit in with all the other things that one has to do. Crazy, isn't it?
But then, it all changes when one takes a camera and goes out into nature to take some shots, then a strange calmness starts to set into the mind. I remember how confused I was when it started to happen to me long ago, but over time I have embraced it as it is an all will be well feeling enters the mind and the soul.
So, whenever you feel overwhelmed try to take a camera and to step outside, as the balance that exists in nature can work magic on one's stresses. Who knows, you might even start to cultivate a love for the outdoors instead of sitting inside working on phone or pc screens. Nature is real and it also has healing properties. The place to be in my mind.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
