Not often to get a pair of our famous Oyster Catcher birds!
Some other unexpected sights also here in the post.
I had to place the Oystercatcher's picture first, as we are not sure how much longer we will continue to see these magnificent birds!
We had a short walk on the beach and mother nature was kind to deliver some unusual photographic opportunities to me.
Come and have a look!
If you think that this picture is angelic, look at the next one!
Yeah, to us at least this looked like a bird angel greeting us.
And here is the take off to go and fly high in the sky!
Finally, just a teaser here above, as I will soon do a post about the sand shrimp fishing bait collectors and their methods.
That Kelp Gull is certainly taking a closer look 🤣
Please go and have a look at the 10 most endangered ocean residents at the link below;
"With fewer than 10 000 African Oystercatchers left in the wild, their habitat needs to be protected from human abuse.
Holiday-goers often disturb Oystercatchers and drive them away from their nests, causing their eggs to overheat in the sun. Simple human lifestyle choices are driving one of our most iconic coastal birds towards extinction".
