A Happy Friday to all and during the week I posted about the cold fronts that arrived here. Come and look at today.
We are keeping an eye on the mountain peaks for the appearance of snow, but not yet and we will wait.
Last year I got some nice snow shots on the mountain peaks and now I watch every cloud with suspicions that it is a snow cloud. It is a bit nippy outside and it's reckoned that the temperatures will drop lower tomorrow, so let's hope that the snow will arrive.
The floating clouds on the mountains make for lovely pictures and we have had a range of cold fronts this week with more to come.
The good thing is that it fills the dams and I prefer the cold to our intense African summer heat.
Come and look.
Could this one below perhaps be a snow cloud?
Nope but it shows the beauty of the clouds on the mountains.
I have been telling you about the cold fronts and this below is evidence about what our weekend will look like.
*The icy and cold weather is due to a week of cold fronts.
“The public and small stock farmers should be advised that loss of vulnerable livestock and crops can be expected due to the combination of very cold, windy, and wet conditions.
“The weak and frail may also be vulnerable since their bodies won’t be able to retain their heat as easily.”
It furthermore said small stock farmers should provide shelter for their vulnerable livestock and cover sensitive crops. *

Ps. Don't forget to watch the video also in the link.
I think that the Harrier Hawk will find much prey that the cold has killed for him.
So yes, many don't like the cold, but I simply revel in it. No humidity and no hateful sweats and a person can sleep warm and deep at night.
But like always, we feel for those that have to sleep on the streets and other open public spaces. As it is, we are collecting goods for the Rape Crisis center and there are other charities here that are handing out blankets and food to the street people.
In the past we tried to it alone and Papillon has freely distributed tons of goods in poor areas, but now since we moved down here, we rather partner and support other established entities that support the poor. As they say; many hands make light work, and it is very true.
So I will keep you updated about the snow situations and hope that all of you will have a good weekend.
And That's All Friends.
