We were out and she was not happy, as there were no peanuts.
So she came to sit close to me, to show me that she had to pick an acorn.
We had to leave in a hurry and I forgot to put nuts down for them on our study window sill. They had the early morning nuts, but they must have had a surprise as there were no normal afternoon nuts.
So this little lady had a lesson from Mother nature for me.
As to say, yes you can look as we can get our own nuts.
What? You better leave me alone, as I want absolutely nothing from you.
So don't come any closer with the false sorrow on your face.
And off she went. Now here's the thing, she didn't disappear as she wasn't finished with me.
Oh no, she wanted to make it absolutely clear that I saw the acorn.
Meantime there was a dove relaxing in the cool water of the bird bath.
But the dove had to give way in a big hurry for our thirsty lady.
So did she spite me? Not at all as I simply went inside and laid their nuts out on the window sill. Soon all of our squirrels came to have their fill including the aggrieved lady.
However, there was a lesson in this after all. We are so quick to get our anger up if we feel that somebody has offended us. Short fuses is what they call it and it's never a good thing.
A lady walked across a restaurant floor to slap a man in his face as the man was staring at her all of the time. She burst out in tears when the manager came to tell her that the man was blind. He turned his head in her direction, so that he could hear when they brought his food from the kitchen.
So before you get your back up, always make sure that you understand the full story. Two sides to every coin as they say.
And That's All Friends.
