the thing is that the actual real life mr. shatner somehow grows to godzilla-size and then goes on a rampage and destroys the city and that was the image they wanted for the cover.
first i did tons of drawings. i mean at least 25 sketches until i reached this ugly drawing :
using reference images and a lot of time i arrived at this stage. and it started to look like something.
i used photo-textures and trickery to flesh it out and in the end Shat-Zilla was born ! :)
it is just awesome to paint covers for Eraserhead Press
and i´m happy to say that more covers are in the works !
