Today is a happy day for my people!
When the Little-Peppers and I head out to the lake, often our efforts are blessed. This time it was a combination between spearfishing and bowfishing, and we nailed the suckers. I also managed to take a nice freshwater drum. It's amazing having a small tribe too, because often daily bag limits could be reached or exceeded by a singe person, but when it's a group effort, that limit is exponentially increased.
It's sad to see some people harvest fish like this and then discard them on the shore. Thankfully, we're wise enough to put them to good use in the kitchen. Canned sucker and pickled sucker are two great ways to enjoy this species, and we like eating them. Have you ever gotten such a harvest? Enjoy the photos!
