Look who came over!
Last night a Spotted Salamander came over to check out our garden pond. We figured it was either looking for a mate, or for a meal, but were leaning towards a mate. Inspired by the visit last night, we went out searching for salamanders tonight, and found ten Spotted Salamanders in a vernal pool. Here are some photos of some of the ones we found, and some swimming in our garden pond too!
