Some years ago after joining steemit, we met Zac & Jaimie from @mericanhomestead. Over the past couple of years we've enjoyed hanging out in person multiple times and Mama-Pepper received a lot of encouragement from Jaimie. She's even watched many of their YouTube videos on homesteading life to gain insight and skills. Last week though, after a rough year battling a disease and enduring horrible pain, Jaimie passed from this life while holding the hand of Zac, her husband of 15 years. Things will never be the same for their family, and there is a hole in the lives of many that we know.
Soon there will be a memorial gathering to celebrate her life that we plan on attending, and last night, we enjoyed a special dinner to remember her as a family.
In the video above Jaimie shares about how to make Broccoli Cheddar Soup. It's one that Mama-Pepper learned how to make and we really enjoy it. While Jaimie may have now left this world, it's a blessing that her memory lives on and that she's left behind a legacy and volume of videos as well.
