I was not expecting this!
Last night, my oldest daughter Pinkie-Pepper and I went down to a local pond. We saw a variety of things while including Leopard Frogs, Mosquito Fish, Caddisfly Larvae, and even a Water Scorpion, but the highlight of the night was a Central Newt! We may have saw another one too, but it's hard to tell with the murky water. It took some effort to capture this one, but we managed to pull it off. Hopefully there will be some better photos and perhaps even some underwater footage to share later, but for now we've just got some photos. Have you ever seen a newt in the wild?
