Everyone speaks wonders of computer and internet use in education, and really it is, since its access is fast, handles much updated information, allows you to quickly transcribe and provides a number of tools that make it easy to work from the student.
But easy is not so positive. Turns out that some students become mediocre since they only copy and paste information in their works, without even making an analysis or interpretation of what the teacher sent to investigate. They also begin to have spelling problems, and that not even worry about learning spelling rules because the computer solves the problem to them. The spelling of many students also leaves much to be desired, since because all the computer transcribes it, it seems to write a child of three years when the student really have 10 years or more.
Also become overly dependent on the computer, so much so they are unable to resolve on its own means simple tasks.
Is super important that teachers use classroom strategies that really help these poor students. Tests written, preparation of trials in the classroom will help teachers correct the wording and spelling.
I do not doubt the valuable thing is the internet and a computer in education, but there is to teach the student to make good use of them.
