It was a sunny spring morning. Grandma was in the garden, working in the vegetable garden. Grandpa was sitting in the rocking chair, reading the newspaper. Suddenly, a rabbit appeared and approached Grandma.
–Good morning, Grandma –said the rabbit.
–Good morning, dear –replied Grandma. –What can I do for you?
–I wanted to ask you if we could go for a walk together this afternoon –said the rabbit.
–Of course we can –replied Grandma.
When evening came, the rabbit and Grandma went for a walk in the woods. They walked and walked until they came to a clearing in the middle of the forest. There was the river, reflecting the sun's rays.
The rabbit and grandmother sat by the river and watched the little ripples the water formed as it hit the stones. Then the rabbit stood up and walked over to the riverbank. He dipped his paws into the cool water and began to swim. Grandma watched as the rabbit swam and had fun in the river. After a while, the rabbit came out of the water and sat back down next to Grandma.
–It was fun to swim in the river –said the rabbit with a smile.
–Yes, it was –replied Grandma, smiling too.
The hours passed and Grandpa got up from his rocking chair and went to look for Grandma. He entered the room and found her lying in eternal sleep with a huge smile on her face.
