Hola querido hiver.

Hi dear hiver.
I have told you more than once here that the Diary for Stoics often seems to have been written by someone watching what happens to me in life. Just this morning, when I opened it to the right page, I came across the following motto:
Don't complicate things more than necessary.
I couldn't believe it. Yesterday during a private conversation I used a similar phrase, the well-known ‘keep it simple’, about a new project that a group of us are preparing and that I hope to be able to give news about soon. What I like to leave with the intrigue and create expectation, hahaha.
The thing is that, although it was me who wrote the sentence, it was actually the other person who reminded me to avoid unnecessary complications and I could only agree with her. It was then that I remembered the famous motto about simplicity.
From what I have read, my mind could be categorised as that of an architect. I love to create systems, to give them complexity by categorising and classifying everything. However, I realise that in this process I invest most of my energy and effort, losing focus of the main thing: what I am building it for. Moreover, in my experience, most of the time the building is empty in a short time without ever having been filled.
So this time I am doing it differently and hopefully better. One step at a time, making sure before taking the next one and building according to the needs that arise, instead of fitting them into that imagined thing that then causes more friction than help.
I've also taken my time to analyse what I should leave before taking hold. I am sad to stop some collaborations in projects that trusted me but I feel that I am entering a new stage where I will be able to help more people. Before, I would have thrown myself into it all, adding weight to the rucksack that was already full, but time and energy are finite and I have to invest them well.
I'm looking forward to telling you more, but everything is still in its begginig and selling smoke and mirrors is not my style. When there is something concrete you will be among the first to know, of course.
See you next time. In the meantime, take care!
