Hola querido hiver.
La Escuela Museo de Origami de Zaragoza tiene un espacio para albergar exposiciones temporales y cuando la visité el pasado mes de septiembre estaba vigente la que hoy te muestro.
La autora de todas las piezas que verás aquí es Krystyna Burczyk, una mujer polaca que vive actualmente en Portugal. Es matemática, materia de la que es profesora. Precisamente fue la geometría la que le empujó hacia el arte en su aplicación en el origami.
Krystyna es autora de 6 libros y ha participado en exposiciones de origami por todo el mundo: Alemania, Estados Unidos, Hungría, Polonia, España y su país de residencia, Portugal.
La mayor parte de sus obras están compuestas por giros, pero también ha realizado obras adaptadas a las dos dimensiones.
Los detalles cuidados provocan en el espectador asombro y una reflexión profunda ante lo que ve. Las obras son tanto abstractas como orgánicas, pudiendo identificar en muchas de ellas formas que encontramos en la naturaleza.
Según palabras de la propia artista:
Cada Giro es un Mundo único. Cuenta su propia historia. A veces parece una pelota, a veces un ramo de flores.
Desde formas aparentemente sencillas a remolinos de papel que esconden secretos inalcanzables, uno se queda extasiado mirando cada pliegue, donde la combinación de colores añade matices que se traducen en emociones, recuerdos, sensaciones.
Hoy es mejor que te deje contemplar las imágenes, tómalas y hazlas tuyas. Dales tu propio significado.
¿Podrías elegir solo una? Yo soy incapaz. Seleccionar las que aparecerían aquí ha sido una pequeña tortura combinada con el placer de revivirla. No están todas las que son...

Hi, dear hiver.
The Origami School Museum Zaragoza has a space for temporary exhibitions and when I visited it last September the one I show you today was on.
The author of all the pieces you will see here is Krystyna Burczyk, a Polish woman currently living in Portugal. She is a mathematician, a subject she teaches. It was precisely geometry that pushed her towards art in its application in origami.
Krystyna is the author of 6 books and has participated in origami exhibitions all over the world: Germany, USA, Hungary, Poland, Spain and her country of residence, Portugal.
Most of his works are composed of twists, but he has also produced works adapted to two dimensions.
The careful details provoke in the viewer astonishment and a deep reflection on what he sees. The works are both abstract and organic, and in many of them we can identify forms found in nature.

Each Turn is a unique World. It tells its own story. Sometimes it looks like a ball, sometimes like a bouquet of flowers.
From seemingly simple shapes to swirls of paper that hide unreachable secrets, one is enraptured looking at each fold, where the combination of colours adds nuances that translate into emotions, memories, sensations.
Today I'd better let you contemplate the images, take them and make them yours. Give them your own meaning.
Could you choose just one? I am incapable. Selecting the ones that would appear here has been a bit of torture combined with the pleasure of reliving it. Not all of them are here...
