Argentina – Puerto Madero and its Surroundings || Argentina - Puerto Madero y sus Alrededores.
I was planning to create an audiovisual piece, but my CapCut isn’t working properly. Still, I want to share my experience exploring part of the lower area of Buenos Aires, which is connected to Puerto Madero and its surroundings.
! [Spanish]Tenía pensado realizar un contenido audiovisual, pero mi CapCut no está funcionando correctamente. De igual forma quiero contar mi experiencia al recorrer parte del bajo de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, qué tiene que ver con puerto madero y sus alrededores.
It made me laugh a lot when my friend Alejandro, while walking through these places, would jokingly say: ‘We have nothing to envy about Dubai.’ Personally, I don’t think it’s about comparing ourselves, but rather about appreciating and enjoying the beauty of the different places we visit.
! [Spanish] Me causaba mucha risa, cuando mi amigo Alejandro, al recorrer estos espacios, me decía de una manera irónica, no tenemos nada que envidiarle a Dubai. Particularmente creo que no se trata de compararnos, sino de apreciar y disfrutar las bellezas de los diferentes lugares que visitamos.
Something that stood out in this part of Buenos Aires is the cleanliness of its streets. A common denominator with my city, Ezeiza, of course with the obvious differences. There are many places with beautiful architecture and nature, but they are not taken care of as they should be. When I take these walks, I usually have to clean up the images, but in this case it was hardly necessary.
! [Spanish] Algo que destacó de este sector de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, es la pulcritud de sus calles. Denominador común con mi ciudad Ezeiza, por supuesto salvando la distancias. Pero existen muchos lugares, bellos en su arquitectura y naturaleza, pero no son cuidados como es debido. Cuando realizo esos paseos, normalmente tengo que limpiar las imágenes, pero en este caso sinceramente fue muy poco necesario.
If you’ve been to Buenos Aires or are planning to come, these places are a must-see. Many tourists from all over the world visit these spots almost daily, which is why you’ll hear different languages as you walk through them. In our case, we went on a weekend and very early in the morning. That’s why there were still very few people around. The capital city is truly a place that invites you to walk and explore, and I believe that even 15 days of vacation wouldn’t be enough. I’ve been living in the province of Buenos Aires for more than 20 years, and believe me, I don’t even know 10% of it.
! [Spanish] Si estuviste en Buenos Aires o tienes pensado venir, estos lugares son inevitables que no te hagan conocer. Muchos turistas de todas partes del mundo recorren casi cotidianamente estos espacios y es por eso que vas a escuchar diferentes idiomas al caminar por los mismos. En nuestro caso fuimos un fin de semana y muy temprano. Es por eso que había muy poca gente todavía. La capital federal sinceramente es una ciudad que invita a pasear y creo que con 15 días de vacaciones no te alcanzan. Tengo más de 20 años viviendo en la provincia de Buenos Aires y créanme que no conozco ni el 10% de la misma.
In many postcards you’ll find these images I’m sharing, and each one has its own story. I’m one of those who believe that in Web 3 we share moments and stories. We can visit the same place many times, and I’m sure the experiences will be completely different. That’s why I think that by taking new shots and telling new experiences, we can add more value to our posts.

This is an entrance to an underground parking lot that’s truly massive, and nearby there are some bars located right in front of the Puente de la Mujer an iconic spot for any visitor, and of course, for all of us who believe in love.
! [Spanish] Esta es una entrada a un estacionamiento bajo tierra que es inmenso realmente y muy cerca existen unos bares que están frente al puente de la mujer, lugar emblemático para cualquier visitante y por supuesto para todos los que creemos en el amor.
Next to the Puente de la Mujer and right across from the bar I mentioned earlier, you’ll find the Fragata Presidente Sarmiento, a ship that, as far as I know, is a museum you can visit during specific hours. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to return and take the tour. I remember once my compatriot

When you take shots from different angles, the perceptions change completely. Crossing the bridge, you find yourself in an exclusive neighborhood where the atmosphere feels different. It’s an ideal place to walk with your family, your spouse, kids, or friends. You’ll find everything you need, from places to eat and drink to spaces for leisure. Even for running enthusiasts like me, there’s room to go for a run. That’s something I’d love to do one day with my friend and life partner 
! [Spanish] Cuando realizas tomas de diferentes ángulos, las percepciones cambian rotundamente. Cruzando el puente, se encuentra un barrio exclusivo y se respira otros aromas. Es un lugar ideal para caminar con tu familia, esposa, hijos o amigos. Tienes de todo para el consumo y para la dispersión. Inclusive para los locos del running como yo, tienes espacio para correr. Esa es una idea que tengo de realizarlo con mi amiga y compañera de vida
In the same area, there is an ecological reserve that is open to the public but with some restrictions. For example, on weekends, due to the high number of visitors, they do not allow entry with bicycles. That’s why we decided not to go in, and of course, there will be other opportunities. What’s amazing about this space is that there’s an ecological reserve right in the middle of a big city, surrounded by towering buildings. Preserving these areas seems like a truly important and smart decision. Something that really caught my attention, and that I loved finding here, is a stall of the exclusive artisanal Cachafaz alfajor the same one we once sent to our friend 
! [Spanish] En el mismo lugar existe una reserva ecológica que está abierto a todo público pero con algunas restricciones. Por ejemplo, los fines de semana, debido a la gran afluencia de personas, no permiten el ingreso con bicicleta. Es por eso que desistimos de ingresar, y por supuesto habrá otras oportunidades. Lo loco de ese espacio, es que existe una reserva ecológica inmersa en medio de la gran urbe, plagadas de edificios de alta envergadura. Que conserven estos espacios me parece una decisión realmente importante e inteligente. Algo que me llamó poderosamente la atención y me encantó encontrarlo aquí, es un puesto del exclusivo alfajor artesanal cachafaz, el mismo que una vez le enviamos a nuestra amiga
According to the mural in front of the bridge, it was built entirely with plastic bottles, and I think it sends a great message for those of us who believe in reusing materials. On our way through the area, we passed in front of the Mitre Railway station in the Retiro neighborhood. Another emblematic spot in Buenos Aires, located very close to Villa 31. Incredible contrasts that only happen in Argentina. A Villa is a place where very underprivileged people live, and this one is just meters away from the wealthy neighborhoods, where extremely affluent people reside. If I tell you about it, you won’t believe it… You really have to experience it yourself.

[Spanish] Según dice el mural, que está frente al puente, fue construido en su totalidad con botellas de plástico y creo que es un gran mensaje para los que creemos en la reutilización de los materiales. Ya emprendiendo el viaje de nuestra recorrida, pasamos por el frente de la estación de trenes del ferrocarril Mitre en el barrio de Retiro. Otro lugar emblemático de la ciudad de Buenos Aires que está muy cerca a la villa 31. Contrastes increíbles que solo suceden en la Argentina. Una Villa es un espacio donde viven personas muy carenciadas y esta está a metros de los grandes barrios, donde viven personas extremadamente pudientes. Si te lo cuento, no lo vas a creer… Indefectiblemente tienes que vivirlo.
