My top three challenges would be:
Not being able to get on the trending page, even if you write the best content. Trending pages are being manipulated by whales with the power and know-how to do so.
Being limited to just five tags, which greatly reduces your posts' chance at visibility.
The fact that SBD and Steemit are both so low in value right now, it almost isn't worth it writing on the site.
