Returning to the hometown of Anbar, I explored the streets of Basim's past, observed the locals and patrolling guards. After swiftly taking down a four-man squad of soldiers using stealth, parries, and chain assassinations, I scaled the familiar high tower to perform a confident Leap of Faith.
Basim was back to Anbar, where I was taking in the familiar town and streets where Basim had grown up. I visited the old home where he used to lay his head, which had long since been left behind.
Navigating through the neighborhood, I watched locals walking about and sweeping up the area. I noticed a lady nearby who looked unusually pale and sad, likely worn down by poverty.
Moving up to the rooftops, I came across a young girl reading something quietly, who stared back at me in complete surprise as I approached.
I also managed to startle a flock of birds while scaling a ledge, scaring them off purely by accident while climbing upward.
From a high roof, I spotted the tall tower Basim had leapt from when fleeing Anbar alongside Roshan after the Caliph was killed.
Armed guards were still patrolling the perimeter below, seemingly still on the lookout for trouble. I dropped down to clear them out, initiating the fight by assassinating the first soldier while the others stood stunned.
I immediately transitioned into a chain assassination to take out the second guard, followed by a precise strike on the third.
When the fourth soldier lunged at me, I parried his incoming blow, counterattacked with my blade, and brought him down easily to finish off the squad.
With all four soldiers eliminated, I turned my attention back to the iconic tower, the very same structure Basim had been terrified to jump from during his earlier days. Back then, he lacked the proper training and confidence to execute the move correctly.
But his time away had changed everything. I scaled the height of the tower, stepped out onto the ledge, and prepared to perform a flawless Leap of Faith into the water below.
