Drops of water hit the roof, I wake up to the gentle popping sound of rain fall. Rain is a word which brings lots of fun by relaxing our mind and heart & happy memories.
My school was about 1.5 kilometers away from my house. Usually I used to go to school walking on foot. I did not go to school due to the inclement weather (Such as the storm, the rain, etc..). I Would be most happy if it was raining during school time. It has also been many times -- It's been raining since morning but the rain stopped just before going to school. Then i prayed so many times that Allah give rain, give rain.
The time will be 1993-94, We used to go to school wearing Hawaii slippers. That time there were different types of slippers available. Rupsha Hawaii's slippers were one of them. Those who had a little money, they used to use the BATA brand's slippers. In rainy periods Hawaii Chappell's has a weird art power. Graffiti spread all over the back or Pants.
The presence of students in the school was most attended on rainy days. On the other day, the attendance was 93-94% but during the rain, this presence increased 97-98%. What a pleasure it was when announcing school closed as rainy day. There was much more time to play back home.
There is a river named Bongshai near the side of my house. There were a lot of fish in the river. The native species of fish specially Koi, Magur, Chapila, Shing, Pabbada, Taki, Rui, Catal, Mrigel, Chital, Pangas, Boal, Khewalasa, Foliage, Bamas, Tatkini, Titapunti including Gang, Magura, Chaila, Batasi, Rani, Tengra, Pabda, Pindi, Sarpunti, Kalbaus, Shol, Mahasol, Gangas, Raak, Ranana, Batasi, Bazari were especially delicious.
Despite the inclement weather i still miss those childhood days when it rains. Rain it's like magic and makes me forget all the crippling depression, drowning sadness... Rain, Rain Don't Go Away!
Rainy days make me happy. I don't like sunny days. Many people do, but I prefer rainy days.
