Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 馃

I feel it is natural for us as humans to get curious about stuff and ask questions, but one should be able to tell that there is a thin line between asking questions and being nosy.

I would say to an extent I am a curious person, but I know where to draw the line. I know how to set boundaries and respect people's privacy.

I have met a lot of nosy people, and one of them at the moment is one of my neighbors.

When I got into the apartment newly, my neighbor would always come around to greet me and know how I was doing.

To the extent that she stopped spreading her clothes at her place and would come to my backyard to spread her clothes, and she would call me from outside to find out if I was inside and to know how I was doing. Since she is older than me, I don't greet her from the room; instead, I would go outside to respond to her greeting whenever I opened the back door, which led to my kitchen to greet her back. That's how she would be stretching her neck and looking at my kitchen, and the next thing that comes out of her mouth would be you are enjoying ooo; in this hard economy you are still buying noodles and Irish potatoes. Then she will squeeze her nose and say it's like you are frying plantains because I can perceive it.

All of a sudden she has forgotten she came to spread clothes; that's how she would now sit on the slaps in my backyard and start asking me different questions, like yesterday when I passed your back, I heard as if you were crying, Talk to me, oo, I can help you, ooo. I have been married for over ten years now. How are your inlaws treating you?

Because I am a secretive person, I only talk to people I know and am comfortable with, so no matter what she says or asks, I usually don't answer her; I either smile at her as my reply, or I say it's well, or hmmm.

When she noticed I was never going to tell her anything about me, she changed strategies and started talking about other neighbors, and when she noticed I still didn't reciprocate. She stopped visiting me.

Only for a lady who stayed in my street one day met me and said I should be careful of my neighbor. She has been saying a lot of stuff about me, like I have pride and I used to feel like a rich woman. I just smiled and replied to her that it is well.

If there's one thing I would tell people who are nosy is to learn to respect people's privacy and boundaries. Everyone has the right to keep things to themselves.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 馃
