Our world is fast-changing, so one should be careful when looking out for a life partner. Gone are those days that people were looking for tall, dark, and handsome. I saw a post on Instagram a few minutes before I came online, and the only thing that kept ringing in my hand was that in choosing a life partner, one just needs wisdom and the help of God; we have a lot of monsters in human form roaming on the road.
Quality to look out for is
Fear of God, not people parading around claiming to be Christians or churchgoers. Someone that genuinely and sincerely follows God, someone that is yielded to the things of God. Because most times in marriage, because of the fear of God in them, they will not misbehave, and when they do, they quickly turn to God for repentance.
Communication—some people have goat ears and brains. Some people are bad when it comes to communication; some people hear and don't listen, so you need someone that can listen actively and express themselves effectively.
Someone that submits to authority—you will not understand this now until you get married. Don't get married to anyone that doesn't listen, respect, or submit to an authority. Marriage is unpredictable; when something happens and you need someone to help you talk to your spouse, you need this authority they listen to to help. Forget all that; we don't need a third party in our marriage. We can solve all our problems. Sometimes you need someone to help reset their brain.
