Good afternoon, my country people, I done come back. Una, well done, ooooo!
Pour small palm wine on the floor to appease the gods, clear throat, and then take a sip.
Ehhhhh!
This question has been long debated; some are for it, while some are against it.For me, I will never ever allow my partner to keep a bestie of the opposite sex. This is not because I am insecure or for whatsoever reason people may say.
I just feel some things are common sense; the moment you are in a serious relationship, then there should be boundaries.
Before I got married, all my friends were guys; I had a best friend amongst them, and I had just one female friend. While I and my husband were dating, he knew about them all, and I also knew his bestie; neither of us told anyone anything about setting boundaries with our besties. On our own, we started doing it. After we got married, our besties limited the way they communicated with us, and that's because they also have common sense. I am still cool with my bestie, but he already knows I am no longer his bestie because my husband is now my bestie. The same also with my husband.
If your partner cannot be your bestie, then why be with them in the first place?
The second question will not even work. Why sleep over, please? If you are stranded, lodge at the hotel or sleep under the bridge, biko.
It's not me that will use my hand and invite the devil into my relationship/marriage.
The Bible says, What God has joined together, let no man put asunder. A bestie is already an asunder.
