“You have done your path, now let me do mine,” Mr Michew said, putting his hand in his wine and pink Kimono gown to hide something. Tucho, Mr Michew’s child, looked at his mother in confusion and returned the gaze to his father before asking,” What do you mean, Father? I don't understand”.
“I am just coming back from your school, and I was too impressed by your performance, and what your teacher said about you being a good representative of both school and family made my taste sweeten as if I drank a cupful of honey, so I have decided to surprise your child,” Mr Michew replied.
“So what is the surprise all about?” Mrs Michew asked as she saw Tucho’s eyes brighten like the sun's smile.
“Okay!!”, the suspense is over” Mr Michew replied and continued.
“Knowing that Tucho loved magical films and has asked a million questions on magical events, I have bought tickets for us to watch ‘The Dwarfs in the Hat’” he concluded.
“Haann haann!!, that's well thought of you,” Mrs Michew said, putting her hand on her child’s back and squeezing it smoothly in a caressing way.
Tucho was filled with joy and ran towards his father, who he gave a hug, and Mrs Michew joined, and the family hugged together.
Mr Michew disrupts the silence by bringing out three golden tickets tucked between the pages of a second-hand book he bought from a roadside vendor. The ticket simply reads “ Board the train and let's go to the palace of the dwarf in the hat’.
“ It is tomorrow,” he said after handling a ticket each to them to look through before collecting it back and giving it to Mrs Michew to keep it.
Tucho, on the other hand, couldn't sleep at night as he reminisced about different things in his mind. “How will the palace look, what kind of magic will be displayed, and what will the magician look like?” were all the questions that kept his mind wandering.
At one time when he closed his eyes and opened it, It is a Saturday morning already, he made sure to compose himself so that the unknown will not get better of him throughout the morning and around 4pm, the family is ready for the outing as Tucho wore his black long-tail coat, with a white dress shirt in and put on his black top hat as if he was the magician to perform for the day.
His parents held him to the pedigree of his thoughts, and this made his joy go beyond limits.
“Father, sorry for asking again, is magic real?” Tucho asked, looking at his parents' face who was smiling back. “Well, I know your father has answered you this a thousand times before, but we all shall see if it is real or not,” Mrs Michew answered as they got to the entrance of a gigantic gate.
Getting in, Tucho saw that the palace was a very large, spacious, and well-designed hall where chairs were seated everywhere, but also noticed a stage up front, which was at a height.

“ Where are we going to sit?” Tucho asked.
‘My son, the front seat, is the reason why I bought the golden tickets, ' he replied.
Mrs Michew took it from there, “ My son, your father knew you had so many questions to ask, and seeing is believing, and that is why he wanted you to see it all”. Tucho walked around puffing up as if he was living his dreams and sat between his parents, and after a few minutes, the hall was filled up and a dwarf came up to the stage in a very funny, large, golden hat that was bigger than his head and went for the Microphone as everyone laughed.
He said “ Good day to you all and welcome to the dwarf in the hat' show, so many people have seen magical display in movies, fairy tales or fantasy books, like casting spells and flying on brooms or turning things to change form, so today, all I do is tricks and not magic so don't try this at home”. Everyone clapped and the show started. The dwarf brought out a torn rag wrapper or towel-like clothes and put two ends of the wrapper on his shoulder, which glued to it, and he moved two steps back and ran towards the audience and flew up around the stage in a floating manner and landed like a superman. Everyone continues screaming and clapping as he twisted himself and stretched up to be the tallest person in the building and so many other tricks stuffs he displayed and what he ended it with is that he bought out a hook and knot a rope around it and then fling the rope and throw it up and began using it splint like a spider man.
Tucho enjoyed himself to the fullest, and all his questions disappeared; he was intrigued by the tricks.

A week later, while Mr Michew was driving home, his phone rang and it was his wife. “ Hello dear,” he said, and she replied with "I am fine”. Tucho has broken his leg, is what Mr Michew heard after that, and how was his answer? He tied a wrapper to his shoulder and flew down from the top of something high while playing with his friends was the answer he heard again, and Mr Michew was like “ the dwarf in the hat”.
