Now we call him Idan ( Magic)
As vivid as my life revolves around and as conscious that I know we are on earth through the Universe’s magic. The magic also supersedes the procedure of birth and transfers to vivid reality. All humans have different gifts that serve them as magic and this makes me recall a friend we now call “Idan”(Magic). “Idan”, now called, A close friend of mine, said that we almost became brothers as we grew together.
Goke, a friend of mine that we met during the second school day when I was in J.S.S. 1. Though, I resumed before him and could not forget the day he was introduced by our class teacher. “ This is Goke and he will be in this class, “ she said. “You are welcome, Goke”, we all chorused together as a welcome greeting, and he just looked seamless with a bright smile.
Luckily enough for me, he was told to come sit beside me and that is how we met. Goke was a mediocre, average student, but the problem I have with him is reading human behavioral patterns predicting outcomes that sometimes come past and. I always warned him that he should be careful that it's, not everything a person sees; a person should say so that it will not get him into trouble in the future.
He always says “Who knows me “ Every Time I warn him, illustrating using the film I watched for him where the protagonist predicts things and is apprehended by the evil minds for prediction purposes only as humans are creatures that are always inquisitive but Goke will just laugh it off and said, “ that one is a film “.
His name started gaining popularity when we were in S.S.2 class when he predicted the outcome of a World Cup final match.
What triggered us together in the class was that he named the play that would score first saying it would be a medium of penalty kick and the equalizer would be a heading from a certain named defender from the opponent side then the match would end in penalties and the team Goke supports will win on shootouts and this was exactly how it played out.
This was how our friendship became closer. After secondary school days, I used to pay him a visit at home and he has now become worse with his ability. He will illustrate the significance that happened while he was absent as if he were there, and this got me worried as this was where his problems heightened, and his name was in everyone's mouth.
Most people could not get closer to him if they have ill intentions because he usually confronts them immediately and it is now irritating to most people living around. We enrolled at the university and got admission together and this is where his life changed totally. After the prediction of the awards winners in the world entertainment category and predicting a presidential election result four years before his candidate ruled, people now see him as a different being. Some will say he is an abomination as no one they know has this gift; some will call him a warlock, wizard, witch, and other names they wish. I was even challenged one day because I was his friend, and they claimed he was a possessed person. I told them that I knew my friend and he just knew things, and that was his gift. This continues, and the pressure is now weighing Goke down as people look at him differently and treat him differently anywhere he meets himself. At first, he was depressed and lost confidence in the person he was, the bold and outspoken man was now turning into a scared and timid person. Trying to push his gift away to live a normal life, but during this time, I worried for him as he couldn't live a normal life no matter how he tried. One day, my phone rang and I saw it was Goke’s call and I just received it straight up and he said “ Hello friend” which I answered and we exchanged complement and he continued” Friend, I had a dream and I was told I can't leave a normal life so I must embrace my gift to the maximum, the Universe told me in the dream “ he said and after other interactions, he hung up and since then, Goke always walks in is truth but kept most revelations to himself and only reveal the important ones and now we do call him” Idan” whenever we talked which means “Magic”.
