On the way back home it was the last struggle of daylight through the leaden clouds. Atoms for peace were in the air, a friend was driving while I was taking pictures of the surroundings through the passenger window. It seemed to be a winter day just like any other before the strong wind started to bounce off the windshield. It quickly turned into a huge windstorm, and the road was rapidly becoming more and more slippery. It was challenging to keep the car on the road, even though the section is completely straight for at least 30 km. The vehicle seemed to be dancing from side to side and the two of us lost the power of speech. There were at least five stops before we arrived in Nis.
It's been a week now and I still see my friend's face as white as snow.
I think this was my worst travel experience, although I have been in similar situations before. No Atoms for peace until the end of winter.
