I'm determined to go back to the technology from my childhood, the childhood of an elder Boomer. We had nothing, not even TV. I watched the first broadcast of Wizard of Oz in color. I climbed trees, swang on swings, rode bikes and the earliest skateboards. I came into the house when the cowbell rang (a joke of my father's, we did not live on a farm). Didn't have a personal computer at all until I was nearly 40, formatted floppies by the dozen, clouds were not a thing. I write paper checks when I can't pay cash. We do not need these devices. They are shackles. As you may have heard me say, lay down your phones, they are the enemy's weapons.
