I have had one person apologize. If each of us has one person who can see the insanity of what they did to us, then our numbers double.

I was the only one who opposed the measures and so I had to leave.

Thank you for doing that. It must have been very hard. Did you remove your child from the school? I doubt few people consciously remember, but those who do will at least think twice the next time this bullshit comes.

I am thankful that I was retired at the time so I didn't have to make that choice, but I lost a lot of friends. I was very vocal on FB, and many blocked me. I was unfriended irl too. My family-of-origin ridicules me still. I was invited to a nephew's wedding, but, as an un-lethally-injected guest, I would be required to test before going and to wear a mask. I declined the invitation.

I have since moved to a place with a balance of thinkers in upstate New York. I can be me and still have lots of friends. I am much happier here in hillbilly country. I feel socially safer. It remains to be seen if I am truly safer here though. I fear for us all.
