Poem inspired by my muse Adriana. Driven through the classic image of the most beautiful and more dangerous Gorgon. My dear Adriana don't is a winged and lethal mythological monster but her look is able to petrify the observer's soul with her beauty and her virtues.
Medusa
Hidden daughter of the blood of Pegasus,
fruit of the sea and of the waves.
Wings of the time, mortal vision for the heroes.
Your eyes are tombs,
the beats of my heart stop
without being able to support your look
Fracaso de mi cordura,
víctima yo de mi propia curiosidad.
Pago caro mi osadía,
mi vida por tu mirada,
intercambio justo
Fail of my sanity,
I, victim of my own curiosity.
I pay expensive my audacity,
my life for your eyes,
Fair exchange
if we take the fact of your beauty face
and the hardness of your pupils.
Y me preguntó,
Grandiose it is to be able to contemplate
the garden of the fail hopes,
full with statues and stony memories
of beings that wanted to know of you.
Of the legend.
All tearful ones and full with complaints.
Me, the only happy sculpture.
Happy because I could look at you to the eyes,
Happy because I could enjoy your smile.
And in your view it remain my trembling look.
And I asked myself,
among a mortal man's diffuse thoughts.
Oh! What you felt, demigoddess,
before transforming my black eyes into stone?
