At some time all we have lost a loved one. This poem goes dedicated to the absence and the void that they give us but also to the happiness, the good things, the good moments and all the love that lavished us.

Ausencia

Absence

When the absences are sudden and unexpected
These they don't become effective in the mind
but a time later.
While that happens
We denied of the void
And our eyes still perceive the presence
Of that dear parent.
We keep their spot in the dinner
And we serve her food as part of a ritual,
We speak with her or him,
As if she is even there.
We offer her bread
And we invite her to thanks
For the food of every day.

Yo todavía hoy
Te observo bajar las piedras del río
Con un pequeño cántaro
Coronando tu cabeza.

I still today
observe you lower down the stones of the river
With a small jug
Crowning your head.
You dive in their waters
And you swim naturally,
As if your birth had happened there,
In the stream.
You still play with the leaves,
pretending that they are green ships.
You still smile
In each murmur of the stream,
In the sweet swing of the trees,
In the opaque bahareque house
That we build to live.
I am motivated when smelling your perfume
And when I feeling the breath of the delights that you prepare
In the small and smoky kitchen
Of our humble home.

You still dance with your party dresses
The traditional dances of our love.
And you still take care of me in the illness,
It doesn't exist more dedicated nurse that you
And there is not more powerful remedy
That your imaginative presence.
You are and you will be for always the sweat of my heart
Prisoner of fever for you.

Tú eres mi delirio,
Eres mi deseo,
Mi obsesión.
No hay necesidad más grande
Que la de estar a tu lado.
¡Ven dame tu calor!

You are my delirium,
You are my desire,
My obsession.
There is not bigger necessity
That the one of being to your side.
Come you give me your heat!
It doesn't care if this it is a heat ghost,
It doesn't care if you have to escape
Of the heaven or of the Hell.

Ellos mienten, tú no has muerto.
Yo te mantengo con vida,
Vives en mí
Y en este aciago paisaje,
En las cascadas,
En los senderos,
En el amanecer que tanto compartimos
Y tú presencia es imborrable
De esos lugares;
Especialmente de mi corazón.

They lie, you have not died.
I maintain you with life,
You live in me
And in this ill-fated landscape,
In the cascades,
In the paths,
In the dawn that you and I so much shares
And you witness it is indelible
Of those places;
Especially of my heart.

Comparar a tu ausencia.
Sólo me aterroriza tu falta.

They make a mistake you have not died,

For me you are not dead.
I won't allow that it pass,
While I will alive you will live
And when I die I will gather with you,
In that way we will always be together.
I will give up the Paradise
If you are not in him
And I will look for you to the eternal fires
To enjoy your ardent company.
It doesn't care the suffering
That it can exist on that place,
Any pain one could
To compare to your absence.
I don't fear to God, neither to the men,
Neither to the demon,
It only terrifies me your absence.
But I know that you are still here, inside me,
And that helps me to live for both.
