The land of Uhonmora is the youngest amongst the six children of Ora. The meaning of Uhonmora actually means the opposite of their position, it means the Head of Ora, with Uhonmo meaning head
To understand this, i had to travel to Uhonmora which is just a neighbouring town to Evbiobe. When we got there, i had to meet an elder of the town who was glad to share some history with me when he knew my mission.
I was informed that Uhonmora has two quarters with their seperate shrines. Somehow many of them still fully hold the tradition and their shrines self them as they believe on it. The elder and a youth who is a traditionalist were sitting in front of the town hall. They said that every town have its own identity and their own shrine where they worship. It is believed that the stories of the six sons of Ora are true no matter how the stories sound.
How did they lead as 'Uhonmo' one will ask. They are the torch bearer. It is believed that the light never goes off no matter how long it is used and no matter the weather blowing against it.
He is considered as a powerful man because of the light he carries. It is just like understanding that light shines in darkness and the darkness comprehends it not. The people of Uhonmora still celebrate this man and seek light from him with the annual festival that is done to remember him.
I came to understand that light is the what makes this town the head of Ora, because without light, we will all dwell in darkness.
