@lauramicaYour trip shows that you can enjoy the same things as wealthier tourists whilst seeking out alternative options. It鈥檚 true that from a young age we鈥檙e taught that Punta del Este is a place for the wealthy and famous, and that it鈥檚 a paradise, and I can see that it is, but you can enjoy it on a tighter budget. If the water there is warm, that鈥檚 why people choose it. The combination of the scenery and the lifestyle is brilliant. What a fantastic trip you鈥檝e had to Uruguay, visiting so many beautiful places, it鈥檚 been a wonderful opportunity. I鈥檓 so happy for you!
@edjeIt鈥檚 been a while since I read your posts, but I鈥檓 glad I didn鈥檛 miss this reflection. I was really struck by what you mentioned near the end鈥攖hat many places ban screens and even have guards to enforce those rules. In this part of the world, or at least in my country, things are very different. People here don't have much money, yet they still celebrate in a big way; as for those who have more, I think they squander it鈥攐r rather, they go overboard. I did have a bit too much beer one night last month 馃槄, but it was a very special evening with loved ones, and we really needed it after sharing stories about our experiences following the earthquake. Yes, we young people should keep finding ways to unwind and have a good time, though I鈥檝e personally chosen to keep a wholesome group of friends and go hiking up the mountain. I suppose it sounds boring, hahaha, but sometimes it helps me relax and recharge just as much as going out to party does
@merit.ahamaWhat a beautiful voice! It鈥檚 been a while since I heard you sing鈥攇reat job. Something I鈥檝e always admired about you is your ability to choose songs that highlight your best vocal qualities, though deep down, I feel you could make any song you choose sound beautiful.
@jluferIt鈥檚 incredible what you鈥檝e told us, everything you do these days, especially in the great outdoors, and your love of nature comes from your grandparents; you鈥檝e inherited all that from them, and your father bought you your first camera at a young age. It鈥檚 wonderful, and I was also thinking about how you鈥檙e passing on exactly what you learnt to your granddaughter Abi, she, too, enjoys nature and spending time with you both.
Taking photographs of nature is a passion, but as you rightly say, walks help to maintain good health, manage your weight and address any issues you might have. It always helps. I鈥檝e really loved hearing your story, it really defines who you are, as well as the activities you enjoy doing in nature.
@justclickindivaI love the way you describe her arrival, the birth of the forest鈥檚 daughter, her relationship with her surroundings, and how the other creatures recognise her. It was those enormous eyes that caught my attention, along with the details of what she鈥檚 like. What a beautiful fantasy story, yet one that鈥檚 also grounded in nature and its lovely details. I鈥檝e loved it, and even more so the artwork that accompanies this story. A fabulous piece of work.
@quiubiWhat a wonderful hobby! It鈥檚 true that not only can you learn a great deal from this activity, but it can also be very relaxing. It鈥檚 certainly true that it requires a great deal of patience and is best enjoyed in places far from the city, such as the countryside or the mountains. I鈥檝e rarely had the chance to do it, but when I have, it鈥檚 been marvellous. If there weren鈥檛 so much light pollution, the world would see some truly marvellous sights.
It鈥檚 also true what you say about protecting your eyes during an eclipse; I read reports that many people suffered irreversible damage to their eyes because they didn鈥檛 use the right protection. It must have been a spectacular sight, absolutely magnificent!! Thank you so much for the invitation; I took part at the start of the month, but it鈥檚 great to see more people getting involved.
