While those statues and sculptures add additional meaning to the "square" (some would say that they MADE them squares), those memories of gathering and the one like yours with the Rubick's cube are what makes them squares... It's great to see people hanging around the square, taking a break, waiting to meet someone, etc.
Great to see the snow melt. Those are some lovely impressions of the lake. It reminds me of my tour around the Alster in Hamburg recently. I try to get my son outdoors too, the attraction to electronics for kids and us is very strong.

The price of gold is indeed evolving in an interesting way. Normally, when interest went up in the past, it had a rather negative influence on the gold price. Today however the insecurities seem to be so high that even with higher interests gold goes up...
