When we were children, we had to do what adults expected from us. We had to satisfy their expectations. Or we had to deal with the consequences.
And so, we grew up with the belief that if we satisfy others, it is easier to live with them.
The problem is, satisfying others, have become a full-time job. And we don't have much time left in our day to live our full potential because of that job.
So, I decided to slowly stop satisfying others. I decided to say 'NO' from time to time, and deal with the consequences. I decided to put myself first in my life.
If I have the potential to satisfy myself, so has my parents, or my friends, or other people...
