I have to admit, I love sweets. I even handed out V-day M&M packs to each of my friends after yoga class in celebration of love. Over the course of the day, I indulged in brownie bites, cookies, and chocolates. And even splurged on the truffles and macaroons at the during lunch.

I'm here to report that I felt zero remorse or regret when I woke up the next morning. This was "emotional eating" at it's best. It was a celebration of the senses! It was eaten with mindfulness and intention and enthusiasm. I understood going into the day that there would be treats around and I had zero intention of turning them away.

Here's what I did the next day.
I woke up and had coffee.
I went to an invigorating and intense 45 min spin class.
I ate a breakfast bowl that had every color of the rainbow in veggies plus an egg for protein.

For dinner, I had fish and vegetables. I balanced out my previous day of unadulterated joyous indulgences with a day of nutrient-dense healthy food

I approached both days with mindfulness and intention.

This is how I try to live my life - with the long game in mind.

I'm living a marathon, not a sprint, and I feel happier and healthier than I have at any other point in my life.

I am hoping all of you had a beautiful Valentine's Day filled with all kinds of love.

And remember, if you ever do indulge..., just balance it out over the next few days.
