Reto escritura creativa : Sobre la fábula del milpiés (Esp/Eng)
Diseño Original editado en app PhotoRoomHello my dear friends of the@holos-lotus community, it is once again a pleasure to write something for this community that seemed so special to me since I found it here Hive. With this publication I join the creative writing challenge of inspiration for personal growth, this time the theme will be peace. I will focus on inner peace by telling you a fable that is not of my authorship, the truth, the author of this fable is anonymous, but it is ideal to talk about inner peace, I hope you like it, I invite you to continue reading.
"Once upon a time a millipede was walking through the forest, suddenly the millipede met a frog along the way. The frog, seeing the millipede walking in such a natural and elegant way with so many legs, was amazed. Then, he called the millipede and said: Hey friend, I have seen you walk and I have been amazed by your gait, I want to ask you something: How do you walk with so many legs and at the same time? The millipede thought for a moment and answered: "Wow, I have never been asked that before, let me think about how I do it and I will answer your question.
The millipede thought and thought. As he didn't know how he did it, he decided to leave without saying anything to the frog, but when he tried to walk, he tripped and fell! Then he tried to walk again and again he fell down. The millipede had no need to think about how he walked, he had no need to reason about it, it was a real waste of time, but as he tried to rationalize how he walked, he forgot how to walk. Very annoyed, he shouted at the frog: Never ask another millipede how to walk again!
Well, let's remember that the theme of the creative writing challenge of the community is centered on "Peace", now, what does this fable have to do with peace? One of the enemies of inner peace is the constant noise in our mind, in Buddhism if I am not mistaken it is called "The monkey mind" is that internal dialogue, a voice that is always making noise, and that only turns off when we meditate consciously or we are completely relaxed. In the case of the millipede, in the fable it is like a child, without worries, without anxiety, it walks in peace with its thousand legs without wondering how it does it. But once the frog asks him how do you do it? immediately the conscious brain comes into conflict with our subconscious and generates anxiety, stress, anguish etc... I do not know where I read a phrase that said: Overthinking things is a disease and it is something totally true. In the path of our lives, we will meet people who do not contribute much and only seek to pry. We must be especially careful with the frogs that we will meet on our path through life, many will make us stop and want to distract us with their rational conflicts, we do not need to think too much, we need to be attentive to ourselves and give love to our friends and family. The rest can wait, peace comes with not overthinking things, the mind is tricky.
