みなさん、こんばんは。
It was a cold night and we were looking for a place to eat but not so many restaurants were open on that day.
その夜はとても寒くて私は何か食べるところを探していました。ですが、その日は休業のレストランが多かったんです。
Then, we found a small Chinese restaurant. They have two tables and about 15 chairs.
その時小さな中華料理のレストランを見つけました。２つのテーブルとたぶん15個のぐらいの椅子がありました。
A funny/strange thing was that there were totally no person at that restaurant.
変だなというか不思議だなぁと思ったのは、そのレストランには誰もいなかったことです。
I looked around and all I found was 4 small machines with a screen like a tablet, 3 big screens and 12 small screens.
中を見回すとタブレットのようなスクリーンが付いた4つの機械と大きな3つのスクリーンと小さな12個のスクリーンがありました。
We were so confused about the order system or even the entire system.
どうやって注文するんだろうと疑問に思うのと同時に、この店何？と不思議でたまりませんでした。
Then, a girl appeared from nowhere and told us to place an order with the machine.
どこからともなく一人の女の人が現れて、機械で注文してください、と教えてくれました。
We used the machine to order and it was like the tablet we see in conveyor-belt sushi restaurants in Japan.
その機械を使ってみると、日本の回転ずし屋さんにあるようなタブレットでした。
It showed everything such as photos of dishes, sauce options and descriptions of the dishes.
その機械では料理の写真やソースの選択肢、料理の説明などが見れました。
After deciding what to eat, I placed the order with my credit card.
何を食べるか決めた後はクレジットカードで支払いました。
While waiting our food to be ready, we talked with the girl.
料理が準備されている間、先ほどの女の人と少し話をしました。
She said "I am here not to scare people because there is nobody here."
すると「このお店には誰もいないから、お客さんを驚かせないためにいるの」と言っていました。

下の写真が大きなスクリーンです。
At the place where I put the green square(upper left), your name (read from your credit card) is displayed.
私が緑の四角（左上）を付けたところに名前（クレジットカードから読み取られた）が表示されます。
When our food was ready, one of the 12 screens displayed my name.
料理ができた時に、12個のうちの一つのスクリーンに私の名前が表示されました。
To get our food, all I had to do was tap the screen twice and then the screen is slid and there appeared a bag.
料理をとるためにはその画面を2回タップします。するとスクリーンがスライドして料理が入った袋が見えてきました。
Behind the small screens were actually boxes to put prepared food.
小さいスクリーンの後ろはボックスになっていて、料理が置かれていました。
Except the girl (actually a server? but she doesn't serve so I am not sure how to describe her), I didn't see ANYONE.
お店にいた女性（実際は店員さんです）以外、お店の中では誰も見ませんでした。
She was just there to smile at people and help them if needed.
彼女はお客さんに笑顔で挨拶をして、必要な時だけ手伝うだけでした。
So basically, the restaurant doesn't need waiters/waitresses at the restaurant.
なので実際のところそのレストランにはホールの店員さんは必要無いようでした。
I guess there was a kitchen behind the screens and the screens hide everything.
私が思うに、スクリーンの後ろ側にキッチンがあって、スクリーンがそういうすべてのものを隠していたんだと思います。
I felt really weird without waiters/waitresses at the restaurant but technology has been taking over people's work so maybe this will be natural some day.
レストランにホールの店員さんがいないのには正直変な感じがしましたが、テクノロジーによって人の仕事が取って代わられているので、これもいつかは自然なことになるのかな・・・。
It was a cool experience for sure but I felt bit sad thinking about the situation without any people.
とっても面白い経験でしたが、でも私はちょっと寂しい感じがしました。
