It really does breaks my heart to see children lacking in total respect and love for their parents simply because they feel they are not getting enough from them.
It is indeed true that one should make proper preparations before getting into marriage, but children should learn that circumstances do push people into what they never opted for.

No matter what, every parent deserve support and understanding from their children. Your love and respect to them might just be all it will take them to live longer.
Even when the society seems to treat them badly, your strength is all they need to live longer.
