Bocono está ubicada al sureste de estado Trujillo, el libertador Simón Bolívar la honro con el nombre de “Jardín de Venezuela” Al llegar no te cabe la duda de por qué la denomino así. Al visitar este hermoso pueblo, entrando por la carretera de Trujillo. Podrás contemplar el jardín que coquetas silvestres que bordean el camino y cuando empiece a divisar las montañas vera un sinfín de colores, el cual predomina la terracota combinado con el color esmeralda de la vegetación. Montañas boscosas con hermosos colores verdes oscuros y el refulgir de flores plateadas sorprender a la vista.
Cuando vas por la carretera se puede observar la alfombradas verdes al lado de los sembradíos de papas, coliflor, zanahorias, repollo, lechuga y perejil. Además del agradable clima, la deliciosa gastronomía, la artesanía. Este hermoso pueblo conserva la construcción colonial, lo que te da una sensación de que el pasado no está muy lejos se puede observar campesinos montados en burros ofreciendo el producto de su siembra en cestas y bandejas tejidas en una paja fina del páramo.
En la plaza siempre hay habitantes alrededor y se puede observar ardillas trepando los arboles pájaros cantando.
