Originalmente la iglesia se llamo (Santa María la Mayor), pero no funcionaba con caracter totalmente religioso hasta el siglo 14 que paso a realizar todos los trabajos religiosos y convirtiendose en una catedral, predomina en el exterior dos grandes y hermosas torres con predominancia Romanica pero en el interior de la catedral hay un cambio de ambiente y todo es mas oscuro lo que da la clara impresion que fue usada la arquitectura gotica, si le preguntas a cualquier historiador que es lo mas valioso que podemos encontrar dentro de la basilica el te respondera los famosos restos de San Vicente, se puede decir que fue el "patron de lisboa", hay una leyenda muy interesante al momento que sepultaron a San Vicente y es que se dice que durante su trayecto dos cuervos volaban encima de su ataud, lo que dio como resultado integrar dos cuervos en el diseño realizado con marmol!😣😲🐦🐦

Creo que es muy importante resaltar que la catedral es llamada la "gran sobreviviente" cuando estamos en la escuela o siempre nuestros padres nos cuentan sobre aquel famoso terremoto que sufrio Portugal en 1755 fue el mas fuerte en toda la historia del pais y basicamente arrazo por completo la capital al igual que muchos incendios que quemaron muchos sitios de gran valor en Lisboa pero esta basilica soporto todas estas catastrofres naturales por lo que es una de las pocas catedrales que no sucumbieron en Lisboa durante toda la historia!💥💨💔

I have to admit that I learned a lot about general culture here in this cathedral, there are many things that tell us stories about the evolution of the Catholic church in Portugal, I think I rate this basilica with 3/5 first of all its architecture despite being a combination of Many was not something that left me impressed, I liked the cathedral more, for example Seville in Spain, the other thing that I did not like was the price, it seemed a bit expensive! Before going to the basilica go to the Roman theater and only pay 2 euros and there is much more history there! Of course it is my personal opinion since I make comparisons with other sites that I already visit within Portugal!🤔🤔
Tengo que reconocer que aprendi mucho sobre cultura general aqui en esta catedral, hay muchisimas cosas que nos cuentan historias sobre la evolucion de la iglesia catolica en Portugal, creo que puntuario a esta basilica con 3/5 primeramente su arquitectura apesar de ser una combinacion de muchas no fue algo que me dejo impresionado, me gusto mas la catedral por ejemplo de Sevilla en España, lo otro que tampoco me agrado es el precio me parecio un poco caro! antes de ir a la basilica pase al teatro romano y solo pague 2 euros y hay mucha mas historia alli! claro es mi opinion personal ya que realizo comparaciones con otros sitios que ya visite dentro de Portugal!😏😏
