Good day community
Today's search focuses on small abstract spaces that nature offers us. Delimiting my view in small and concrete spaces, I discover how geometry mixes with the whims of nature. Using the range of grays, whites and blacks I was able to capture that natural lighting that these fir needles suggested to me. These trees seem excellent for photography since each needle has very special luminescence qualities and depending on the angles at which they are photographed they produce one effect or another. This series that I present to you is edited so that the contrasts are very high to enhance the effect that the light, when bouncing off the leaves, causes in each of the needles.
The pine, whether it is the large one centered and appearing behind a sea of small twigs or the small ones hanging empty, is a sample of this collection that I bring you. The truth is that when I was taking these photos I immediately thought of another season of the year, and even though it was summer, my thoughts took me to winter, Christmas holidays, snow and cold. It was curious to me and I only noticed some striking aspects at the time of taking the photographs, some branches had that power to make my shots be centered on them. I saw many images but only a few were really interesting to me.
With that feeling I continued on my way and found an old cut tree stump. I sat down next to him and began to watch him. One of the things I did was count his rings and find out how old this friend was. I could clearly see how some seasons had been by the width of their lines, whether it had been a year with more growth, drier or more water.
The drawings and colors that I saw had me very intrigued, just as you play with clouds trying to see objects in them, the same thing happened to me with the drawings that I seemed to see on wood. I was also struck by the combination of natural colors, lines and abstract areas as a painting that I could see.
I approached a pond in a park where I could see this pond with those backgrounds and colors. Being in this place gave me peace and tranquility. The water was crystal clear and flowing. The plants seemed to enjoy living nearby and the stones in the background, already taken by the time they had been there, so selected and distributed, seemed like a language of expression.
In this Zen space I also discovered other simple images, the spider weaving and waiting among the branches seemed to me a clear example of survival mode and camouflage since it was barely noticeable to me. It was when I looked closely at this little corner when I saw it, I couldn't resist taking pictures of it.
When I left first thing in the morning, the thick fog seemed to be lifted by the force of a rising sun. I was totally soaked and merged with that strange environment.
Those moments were really not to forget, to see how the heat was evaporating and breaking that thick fog in the river and how it was rising and disappearing. It seemed as if the water was boiling, raising clouds of steam to be lost in the air.
