Own Design - Blackwork/Neotraditional Tattoo

Hello #hive friends, welcome to a new post, today I want to bring you this design that I made for a tattoo. It is a design that combines the Blackwork with the Neotraditional and is available if there is anyone interested in it.

I've been tattooing for a long time and it's time to specialize in a style, in particular I love blackwork and neotraditional, I thought it was great to combine a little bit of both, for this reason I am making several designs to start dedicating myself to it.

Hola amigos de #Hive, bienvenidos a un nuevo post, hoy quiero traerles este diseño que hice para un tatuaje. Es un diseño que combina el Blackwork con el Neotradicional y está disponible si hay alguien interesado en él.

Llevo tiempo tatuando y ha llegado el momento de especializarme en un estilo, en concreto me encanta el blackwork y el neotradicional, me ha parecido genial combinar un poco de ambos, por este motivo estoy haciendo varios diseños para empezar a dedicarme a ello.

Let's read a little about what each style is about:

• The blackwork style, as its name suggests, uses only black ink to create lines, shadows and effects.

• Neotradi combines thick and thin strokes; the colors remain basic, but are applied throughout the work and create shadows, gradients and textures.

Leamos un poco en qué consiste cada estilo:

• El estilo blackwork, como su propio nombre indica (trabajo en negro), utiliza únicamente esta tinta para crear líneas, sombras y efectos.

• El neotradi combina trazos gruesos y finos; los colores siguen siendo básicos, pero se aplican por toda la obra y crean sombras, degradados y texturas.

I started this one with a sketch, which I didn't keep hehe, I went on to make the line art and this was the result. I liked this base, but as I was thinking about making a tattoo I made many changes.

Este lo empecé con un boceto, que no guardé jeje, pasé a hacer el line art y este fue el resultado. Esta base me gustó, pero como estaba pensando en el tema de elaborar un tatuaje hice muchos cambios.

When elaborating the shadowsI eliminated elements that overloaded the design, such as the excess of smoke (which I modified several times) and the circle in Dotwork.

Al elaborar las sombras eliminé elementos que sobrecargaban el diseño, como el exceso de humo (que modifiqué varias veces) y el círculo en Dotwork.

To finish, I thickened the lines of the contour of the face and then I realized that I didn't love that smoke effect, I tried to remove it and add one more leaf, because in a good design for a tattoo there must be a balance and I consider that sometimes "less is more".

Para terminar, engrosé las líneas del contorno de la cara y luego me di cuenta de que no me gustaba ese efecto de humo, intenté quitarlo y añadir una hoja más, porque en un buen diseño para un tatuaje debe haber un equilibrio y considero que a veces "menos es más".
