The German team Mercedes has made public its release date through its home page, with February 18 as the date, it will have its two British drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who will try to take their Mercedes W13 to the top of the podium.

For this season there is talk of the return of the color gray to the Mercedes team. Its German engineers have developed a turbo that will give more air intake to the engine and therefore more power, which means that with this component the engine will increase about 5 to 10 horsepower. All these improvements are made because for this 2022 season no changes can be made to the engine and they will be frozen until 2025. This forces the engineers to develop more technology in the engine components.

The Alpine team will have as new team manager the Romanian Englishman Otmar Szafnauer who will take the reins of the French team after the unexpected departure of the consultant Alan Prost, not only that, the new Apine team manager arrives with a very important sponsor which with its income will help the team in any way with its technological advances. This is BWT, an Austrian manufacturer of water treatment systems that was previously in the Astor Martin team as one of its main sponsors.
